“Grow Young” is the theme of this year’s NSW Seniors Festival with numerous events running from 1 to 10 April across the state. In its 59th year, the festival celebrates seniors and encourages them to be active, social and healthy. The need to be physically active is very important at any stage of life, but particularly for seniors, for whom it is a key to staying healthy and independent. LiFE program developed at the University of Sydney teaches seniors how they can easily and effectively integrate balance and strength activities into regular daily activities.
